Solution Leader Role: Software Lifecycle Management

Due to the continued growth and success across our software business, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Lifecycle Management Solution Leader. Reporting directly into the Head of Software Sales. The successful applicant will be responsible for helping Computacenter accelerate its software lifecycle management services growth and support software sales team identify opportunities, drive profitable growth in revenue terms for both Technology, Professionals Services & Managed Services. The goal is to ensure that Computacenter are the preferred “Route to Market” for Software & Services in our target market customers and win new name customers and deliver sustainable growth to the organisation.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Leading and helping define customer campaigns at a solution & pre- presales level
  • Co-ordinating presales resource, owning and defining Sales Enablement for Software Asset Management & Software Lifecycle Management.
  • Provides input into wider company messaging related to Software Lifecyle Management
  • Maintaining industry awareness and leveraging market knowledge to input into definition of strategy for Software Lifecyle Management
  • Owning vendor technical relationships across SAM industry to enhance and define future CC offerings
  • Contributes to strategic thinking, the development of services and a medium-term strategic direction within Computacenter’s Software Lifecycle Management offerings across SAM, Procurement & ITSM

 

Customer Engagement

  • Confident presenting Software Lifecyle Management strategy and vision to senior customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to build, maintain and manage successful relationships with senior stakeholders across procurement and SAM functions in both commercial and technical roles.
  • Initiating the software lifecycle or asset management project requirement conversations with the customer
  • Performing scoping activities and articulate areas of risk and make recommendations on how to avoid pitfalls through real life customer examples & experience.
  • Reviewing policies and procedures in alignment with ITSM best practice.
  • Consulting regarding customers project needs & deliver advisory services and assessments
  • Business process analysis, and recommendation for specific service delivery activities
  • Pre-sales support on SAM services and end-to-end procurement / ITSM
  • Create documentation of operational concepts, workflows, etc.
  • Supporting sales activities such as scoping to avoid scope creep
  • External technical and project coordination with customers and SAM tool providers
  • SAM project leadership, Project customization
  • Project budget responsibility
  • Advise on SAM tools for execution of project deliverables
  • Providing training to key end users
  • Internal training on the execution of tasks within a project

 

 

Internal Engagement

  • Confident presenting ‘Voice of UK customer’ and vision into central functions for continual evolution of propositions.
  • Support the development of go to market strategies and investment planning for Services
  • Contribute to the development and execution of multi-year Business Development plans
  • Ensure our ability to deliver solutions and services is aligned to our Software GTM Strategy
  • Engage with our in-house marketing teams to help build customer content that supports the sales & services business plan.
  • Deliver internal enablement to Computacenter sales through webinars, knowledge courses & create digital content in alignment with the wider Software business plan.

 

Vendor Engagement

  • Previous experience with Snow, Flexera & ServiceNow essential.
  • Evaluate the market and provide markets insight and strategic summaries to enable senior Computacenter stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • Strategic Planning and execution aligned to the wider Software GTM strategy
  • Support Vendor campaigns- Events, Customer, Certification
  • Work closely with vendors and services providers to build customer responses to meet a customer’s requirement
  • Review services partner capabilities and build ecosystem delivery model that compliments Computacenter’s core Software Lifecycle Management offering.
  • Identify new and target vendors or services partnerships

 

External Engagement

  • Represent & promote Computacenter as the Software Services partner of choice
  • Lead presentations at industry events, customer round tables, CTO events.
  • Be the face of Software Asset Management for Computacenter in the UK
  • Contribute to marketing activities and events formally and informally
  • Active social promotion of Computacenter, Software proposition & capabilities

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Thrives working in a fast paced, virtual team environment.
  • Enjoys understanding a customer challenge and working with supporting teams to define an outcome that meets the customers need.
  • The role will suit an individual who wants to be part of a growing Software business and services portfolio area. Must understand complex SAM customer requirements and how to help customers move towards end-to-end Lifecyle Management, linking to ITSM.
  • Experience with Snow, Flexera & ServiceNow essential to build solutions and services that meet customer’s needs, find creative ways to problem solving and support a growing software sales team by bringing SAM & lifecycle management best practise & disciplines.
  • Confident presenting strategy and vision to senior customer or internal Computacenter stakeholders. Leading presentations at industry events, customer round tables, CTO events. You will also be required to deliver internal enablement to Computacenter sales through webinars, knowledge courses & create digital content.
  • Someone who can manage a high workload and retain the levels of consistency, accuracy and professionalism whilst working under pressure on high profile sales campaigns. 
  • Frequent and pro-active presence onsite at both Computacenter & customer locations to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written language skills.
  • ISO 19770-1
  • IAITAM - IT Asset Management Certifications

  • Experience in understanding Computacenter’s operating model
  • Recognised Industry personal referral network
  • French language
