We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resourcing Director to join our Group Professional Services (GPS) Practice within Computacenter. GPS encompasses our Engineering, Consultancy and Project Management practices together with our growing Business Solutions portfolio and nearshore/offshore centres. We are made of up of over 4,200 skilled practitioners with deep expertise across core infrastructure technologies and industry standard architecture and project management methodologies. Operating across 3 continents and serving some of the world’s largest brands we drive technology change in a thriving and fast-moving digital industry. This role is responsible for leading a global team that works across the Group with our delivery, sales and solutions units to ensure they can access the right resources, skills & services, both internal to GPS and externally via our partner network, in order to meet customer needs. The team is currently undergoing a transformation to better support the business we have today, and provide the platform to help deliver our £1bn business aspiration for the next 3 years, and this role will be critical in driving that change.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Develop and implement a Partner & Resource Management (RM) vision and strategy including methodology, tools, governance, project controls, to continue to effectively support our business today and provide the platform for our growth and evolution over the next 3-5 years
  • Work closely with the Practices to ensure optimal utilisation of Group Professional Services employees considering headcount, skills and regions to deliver an optimal blend of onshore, nearshore and offshore resourcing
  • Oversee the development and management of our network of partners to augment and enhance our Professional Services capability across the Group, ensuring an appropriate mix of internal and external resourcing
  • Effectively manage the P&L for Partner & RMincluding the UK Vetting Unit
  • Evaluate and streamline processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for automation, standardisation, and improvement to optimise service delivery
  • Act as primary escalation point for key stakeholders regarding resourcing & partner related risks & issues
  • Promote a continuous improvement and growth mindset function by encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the team
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive operational excellence
  • Maintain appropriate governance and due diligence of the Partner & RM team, including driving an increase in the ratio of RM services delivered from near & offshore locations
  • Drive standardised ways of working across the Group
  • Ensure all processes in your areas of responsibility are effectively designed and continuously improved to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency
  • Creating, co-ordinating, communicating and delivering the Group objectives whilst adhering to country specific legislation
  • Leading and supporting internal projects relating to service and process improvement and people development, driving change and innovation relating to tooling and automation, whilst collaborating and working alongside our key stakeholders to meet the changing business requirements

 

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Substantial experience of running a resourcing function, ideally leveraging both internal and external capability, in a technology driven professional services environment with a Group operating model
  • Demonstrable ability to recognise business requirements and translate these into an effective service delivery model
  • Experience in driving change and transformation in a rapidly moving commercial environment 
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and inspiring high performing teams, and engendering followership
  • A natural influencer and coalition builder, with an ability to listen to and connect across all levels of the organisation
  • Strong decision maker with extensive leadership experience and high self-awareness
  • Experience of running multi-geographic teams and managing cross cultures 
  • Experience of driving adoption of near and offshore delivery locations
  • Experience of working at a strategic level to enable the Division to perform effectively
