IT Project Manager
What you do:
As a Project Manager in Computacenter’s Group Information Systems (GIS) Service Development & Change (SD&C) delivery team you will be responsible for delivering complex and/or challenging, end-to-end projects, multiple projects simultaneously or significant work-streams on larger projects and programmes. You will lead the engagement, be responsible for the business outcome and for the overall success of the change activity and will assure and govern the programme/assignment to ensure it meets Computacenter’s and the Customer’s requirements and needs.
What you’re responsible for:
Your overall responsibility is for meeting the commitments made to internal customers and stakeholders to successfully deliver the assignment you are leading as defined in your terms of reference or project control documentation, following the internal Delivery Change Framework (DCF). These will be delivered alongside the agreed financial outcome of the assignment.
A proven PM that is capable of self-driving the assigned projects covering end to end Project Management, who will manage the internal service providers and project stakeholders.
Some experience project managing application development implementations, as well as working across some infrastructure projects would be beneficial
Specifically requiring:
- Working with the requestor to determine the scope of the project, identifying the deliverables, documenting scope with plans and budgets
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, capable of running multiple projects at various stages and multitasking skills
- Good client-facing and internal communication skills
- Capable of delivering executive stakeholder updates
- Experienced on all elements of Project Governance, planning, reporting, financial reporting, quality, and RISK management
- Drive the internal and external suppliers to drive progress
- Project Management using Waterfall and Agile approaches - either PMP / PRINCE II certification & ITIL preferred
- Defining work streams, workloads, then driving and tracking progress
- Capable of remote working and managing remote teams
- Hybrid model, role will be based in our UK Hatfield Head Office, with possibility of international travel to support Global projects
Skills and knowledge you require:
- Familiarity with the latest technologies and the ability to articulate the benefits in line with Computacenter’s propositions.
- Trained in project management methodology, for example Prince2, Agile Techniques.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering medium to high and multiple assignments
- Ensure that projects are aligned to and deliver to the business outcomes required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Able to apply a variety of influencing skills to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders, to enable positive assignment outcomes.
- Ability to apply a variety of approaches including Emotional Intelligence with flexibility, to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs and to resolve conflicts.
- Understand and be able to articulate the wider context of the project you are leading.
- Ability to articulate the value of project management to internal and external customers.
