Looking to start a career where no two days are the same and you can help deliver meaningful change across a global business? At Computacenter, we connect people and technology to shape the future.

You’ll join the Group Information Services (GIS) Delivery team, supporting the delivery of projects across Computacenter and GIS worldwide. Our projects are wide-ranging and include office implementations and changes, application deployments, business application upgrades, cloud solutions, networking, and cyber security initiatives.

This apprenticeship will give you hands-on experience of how projects are delivered in a large, global organisation. You’ll learn the tools, techniques, and best practices of project management, developing into a Project Coordinator and building a strong foundation for a long term career as a Project Manager.

You’ll work in an inclusive and supportive environment, with guidance from experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor to help you learn, grow, and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work towards your Project Management Level 4 (Associate Project Manager) qualification while gaining real world experience. Around 80% of your time will be spent on the job, with 20% dedicated to learning.

Here’s what you’ll get involved in:

  • Supporting Project Managers with planning and monitoring projects to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation, plans, and reports
  • Liaising with internal teams to assign tasks and support schedule management
  • Monitoring project risks, opportunities, working hours, and expenditure
  • Supporting issue management by helping identify problems and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Acting as a key point of contact for project stakeholders and sharing relevant communications
  • Assisting with project financial management, including forecasting, monitoring, and tracking costs
  • Supporting quality assurance activities to ensure standards and requirements are met
  • Supporting the Portfolio Management team with organising and running project portfolios
  • Progressing to opportunities to lead workstreams and smaller initiatives

What You’ll Need

  • GCSEs in English Language and Maths at grade C/4 or above
  • You must hold a Level 3 qualification or 3 A Levels
  • A strong interest in project management and delivering successful outcomes
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools
  • A positive, outgoing approach and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across the wider GIS department

Important Eligibility Information

Please note that for successful applicants, offers will be conditional on passing additional eligibility checks with our training provider. These checks include a Maths and English assessment and a review of any previous qualifications you hold.

Due to apprenticeship funding requirements, applicants must not already hold a Level 4 qualification in Project Management or an equivalent qualification.
