Programme Manager - Transition and Transformation

Life on the team

 

This role sits within the Transition and Transformation (T&T) team, a core part of Computacenter’s Group Managed Services (GMS) organisation. Reporting into the Programme Practice, the Programme Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of Managed Services transitions and transformations, ensuring outcomes are achieved to agreed quality, time, and budget. The role involves close collaboration with senior customer stakeholders on large or complex engagements to ensure delivery objectives and business outcomes are met. 

 

What you’ll do

 

You will be accountable for the successful delivery of large and complex projects or programmes, as defined by the relevant project control documentation and terms of reference. This includes achieving agreed financial outcomes and maintaining a strong understanding of Computacenter’s services, offerings, and underlying technologies. You will also deliver assignments in line with the Group Service Take-On/Receive process from Deal Acceptance. 

 

  • Lead the handover from Sales into delivery, working with Solution and Service Designers. 
  • Run client and internal kick‑off meetings to confirm scope, roles, and approach. 
  • Manage Post‑Contract Verification and establish effective governance, including Transition Boards. 
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of transition services, proactively managing dependencies across internal Service Providers. 
  • Engage clients and stakeholders to ensure responsibilities and dependencies are agreed and delivered. 
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the transition lifecycle. 
  • Deliver transitions in line with the Group Service Take‑On Framework. 
  • Control the transition budget, forecasts, and reporting, addressing variances proactively. 
  • Produce clear weekly project reports and ensure all deliverables are signed off. 
  • Manage service readiness, cutover, and formal service handover with Service Management. 
  • Share lessons learned to support continuous improvement across the GST team. 

 

What you’ll need

 

  • PRINCE2 certified to Foundation level, with progression towards Practitioner (or equivalent). 
  • Proven experience delivering successful projects end to end. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, manage conflict, and lead when required. 
  • High emotional intelligence, with the flexibility to adapt communication and approach to different customer needs. 
  • Clear understanding of required business outcomes and the ability to align delivery accordingly. 
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
