This BI Developer opportunity will be joining a centralised cross-country Business Intelligence team that designs and develops operational and strategic data solutions for the Computacenter Group. The team provides a range of business-as-usual and bespoke data services, as well as providing cutting-edge data insights across the global operation powered by a state-of-the-art Data Warehouse. What you’ll do
At Computacenter (CC) we understand that data is our most valuable asset. Business Intelligence at CC encompasses a range of reporting tools, reports, cubes & web applications. This is made possible by collecting data from internal and external sources, transforming and modelling it into dimensional structures using industry standard best practices and software development lifecycles. We enable the business to make informed data-driven decisions that otherwise couldn’t be made.
We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our growing Business Intelligence development team.
- Based in Hatfield, you will join our European BI team and be responsible for the delivery of Data Warehouse and BI solutions supporting all business functions. You will work with users at every level of the business in order to understand and document requirements.
- We expect you to have a working knowledge of T-SQL and database development fundamentals, ideally working with Microsoft SQL Server. PowerBI dashboard development and understanding data modelling and scripting languages would also be advantageous, as well as knowledge or experience working with SSIS within Visual Studio.
- You will be trained in the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis; solution design; ETL; data warehouse, cube and report development; quality assurance and testing through to monitoring deployment working with agile methodologies.

Key responsibilities include developing ETL and BI Solutions via projects and application enhancements workstreams, BAU support and related activities.
You will receive a bespoke individual development plan encompassing SQL, SSIS, SSAS (Tabular models), Dimensional Modelling and visualisation in PowerBI and Microsoft Azure technologies. A fun and engaging professional atmosphere within a driven and high performing development team.
What you’ll need
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft T-SQL skills. CRUD operations and understanding of database design fundamentals.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
- A keen eye for detail and interest in data modeling, dashboard development, data visualisations and software development.
Ideally some additional skills in:
- Tabular/DAX skills
- SQL Server 2019+
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Scripting skills in C# / Rest API
- Microsoft Azure experience
