Job Role 
This is an Excellent Opportunity to join as an Implementations and Consultancy manager. Following some changes in the GIS Service management systems organisation.  A technical management position has arisen for an Implementation and Consultancy manager (Manager 2) to lead a team of system implementers and consultants to design, configure and implement IT service management systems to support Computacenter’s growing Services business.  

The IT service management system employed is a critical 24/7 system and used both internally within CC as well as Customers and Third parties around the world.  It delivers a set of tools which are under-pinned by ITIL principles that enable CC to deliver, measure, manage and improve the IT infrastructure support services to our customers. As well delivering a system rich in functionality, it is imperative that we can implement such tools to our customers in a standard and repeatable basis at the required level of quality – reducing risk and cost to both CC and the Customer.
Objectives for the role
The principal objectives will be:

•    Developing and maintaining resource plans for the team, prioritising and monitoring the deployment of individuals to ensure that they are motivated and contributing effectively, whilst developing their skills, experience and career potential.  

•    Takes full responsibility to ensure all activities in the team are completed to the required standards and expected levels of quality and adhering to team and department processes. Ensuring team processes and documentation adhere to ISO 27001

•    Work with in-house GIS teams including Projects, Infrastructure, Development and delivery teams and drive activities to ensure owned application are implemented and supported effectively.

•    Work with Customers and Transition teams as part of new transition ‘take-ons’ to ensure expectations are set and managed on application capability, responsibilities and implementation processes.

•    Run workshops with customer key stakeholders to fully understand requirements, document these into requirement specifications, produce solution specifications, build, configuration and testing of system

•    Develop and maintain cost models for owned applications and continually drive and reduce the cost of implementation but ensuring quality is maintained.  Review and sign off proposals and project plans on team activity and resource availability

•    Take full ownership and manage and deal with customer expectations and escalations.

•    Keep up-to-date on Application capability.  Create and maintain GIS application roadmap and communicate to all stakeholders.  Work with teams across GIS and Business to drive improvements and change.

•    On-going review of implementation and configuration processes to improve efficiencies and quality.

•    Take part in staff selection and recruitment as required


Required candidate profile

•    Have at least 10 years working within a commercial IT services environment (ideally within an ITIL services environment)

•    Have at least 5+ years in leading, managing multiple teams to deliver application projects

•    Have at least 5+ years experience in team management – team processes, resource plans, development plans, performance management and team meetings. 

•    Have had the role of a project manager for multiple application projects, delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company. Such a project will have been at least 3 months in duration.

•    Worked in Customer facing environment.  Set up and lead workshops.

•    Have hands-on experience of Enterprise service management tools such as BMC ITSM, ServiceNow,  Axios Assyst or similar tools.

•    Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the IT implementation project lifecycle

•    Be able to perform requirements analysis and run requirements workshops and write clear and effective requirements documents

•    Be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation (internal and external) and strong in managing expectations.  Excellent written communication skills.

•    Very well organised and structured and able to produce project plans.

•    Be highly organised, meticulous, structured and methodical in delivery

•    Take full ownership of both technical and business issues.
