This Operation Manger opportunity will be joining our Group Managed Services to support the drive of service quality, improvements and goals for internal services that drive our external customer services. 
This opportunity will expose you to IT Operational practices along with risk management to enhance your career within IT. What you’ll do 

  • Key interface for services received from a key internal supplier within Computacenter. 
  • Operational responsibility for service delivered to GMS from key internal suppliers. 
  • Escalation point for GMS into Key internal suppliers to drive improvements and customer satisfaction. 
  • Own service reviews, service improvement and governance of internal Computacenter Providers 
  • Own, drive and enhance the Risk management process for Remote operations to drive consistency and inputs into Group risk.    
    • Risks are proactively identified, escalated, and appropriately assessed. 
    • Local risk registers are maintained on a regular basis. 
    • Risk owners are effectively driven and controlled, to ensure risks are well managed across their full lifecycle. 
    • Issues are raised on a timely basis where there are gaps or weaknesses in controls with robust and timely remediation plans. 
    • Monthly reporting is delivered against agreed timescales. 
  • You will be the primary interface to one or more senior stakeholders within the Key internal suppliers. You’ll ensure that you maintain a positive and constructive relationship to the benefit of both organisations. 

What You'll Need   

  • You are an experienced practitioner in IT Service Management / IT Operational Management  
  • You are likely trained in ITIL, probably to Expert status. 
  • Motivated to succeed as a Team – You’ll know that success is about how teams work together, you’ll act and encourage our people to remove organisational boundaries using a “One Customer One Team” approach. 
  • Collaborative – You’ll openly share ideas with colleagues across Computacenter and you’ll contribute to initiatives that improve our services. 
  • Inclusive – You’ll be aware of & sensitive to both unconscious bias and cultural difference and role model a positive approach to building an inclusive working environment. 
  • Creative – You’ll be able to come up with solutions to do better for  
  • Curious – You’ll want to get to the root of issues, asking “the five why’s” (Six Sigma) and using both data and intuition appropriately.  You’ll avoid “I think, I feel, it seems” as much as you can, in favour of “I know”. 
  • Able to tell a story – You’ll be able to credibly present your service performance and improvement ideas to different audiences, talking at an appropriate level of detail.
