Join Computacenter's Group External Reporting team, a specialist finance function at the heart of our global business. Reporting into the Group Head of External Reporting, you'll become part of a collaborative and supportive team responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, technical accounting guidance and governance across the Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant seeking their first move into industry, or an individual with a combination of audit and industry experience looking to broaden their exposure. The team is intentionally lean, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting and reporting activities while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
What you'll do
- Support the preparation and delivery of Group financial reporting and Board reporting activities.
- Assist with technical accounting assessments, accounting policy implementation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support Group consolidations and the accounting treatment of acquisitions, disposals and other complex transactions.
- Work closely with finance teams across multiple countries to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information.
- Contribute to statutory reporting and compliance activities across the Group.
- Analyse and interpret financial data, providing insight and recommendations where appropriate.
- Support business initiatives and projects that impact Group reporting processes and controls.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Company Secretariat and wider business functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiencies.
What you'll need
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- A Big Four or leading audit practice background is strongly preferred.
- Experience operating at Senior Associate or Assistant Manager level within audit, or equivalent experience combining audit and industry accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work across a varied workload.
- Experience working with international stakeholders would be advantageous.
