We’re the behind the scenes heroes keeping global businesses running smoothly 24/7, from anywhere in the world. Remote Service Operations is part of Group Managed Services (GMS), and we’re all about smart, scalable IT support that’s proactive, not just reactive.

When a customer decides to entrust us with part of their IT infrastructure – so they can focus on their core business - we firmly take the wheel. This is what’s known as a managed service: we take full responsibility for running, optimising, and supporting it throughout the contract’s life. Think of us as the digital guardians of productivity, powered by data, driven by process, and obsessed with making things better.

We help our customers stay productive by preventing IT issues before they happen, and jumping in fast when they do. Our global reach means we’ve got the right people, in the right place, at the right time, ready to scale and evolve with our customers’ needs.

What you’ll do

As part of our Remote Service Operations (RSO) team, you’ll be at the heart of keeping global IT systems secure, stable and running like clockwork. You’ll work across key areas that make a real impact on how our customers experience technology whether that’s preventing issues before they happen or making sure updates roll out smoothly.

Over the 13-month programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience across key areas that make a real impact:

Transition & Transformation
You’ll help make sure new services are good to go before they launch:

  • Get involved in testing activities to make sure everything works smoothly.
  • Create clear, helpful documentation so teams are ready to roll.

Operations
This is where the action happens — you’ll be part of the team that keeps things running day-to-day:

  • Work with ticketing systems to manage tasks and solve issues.
  • Track ticket queues and escalate when things might miss deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Process Managers and tech teams to keep workflows smooth.
  • Join internal meetings and even lead them when you're confident.
  • Help run daily processes and support with reports and performance tracking.
  • Be the go-to support for the Process Manager.

Standardisation & Process Improvement
You’ll help us do things better, smarter, and more consistently:

  • Spot areas where we can improve and share your ideas.
  • Understand how processes connect from start to finish.
  • Stick to established standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly across teams and with Service Management.
  • Show integrity and professionalism in everything you do.

Cyber Security Readiness

  • Work closely with our GIS (Group Information Security) team to ensure RSO is ready to respond to cyber threats.
  • Be the vocal and single point of contact for cyber related activities and issues.
  • Help keep our customers protected by staying proactive and informed.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll learn how to manage change, deliver updates, and support cyber readiness, all while working with cutting edge tech and a global team. You’ll be part of a community that values collaboration, innovation and making a real difference.

What you’ll need

  • You’re in your second year of university and in your penultimate year of study (any degree discipline).
  • You’ve got a keen interest in technology and how IT supports business success.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively in international teams, communication is key.
  • You’ve got attention to detail, whether it’s managing change, coordinating releases or supporting cyber readiness, precision matters.
  • You’re adaptable and proactive when it comes to problem solving and decision making.
  • You’re available to start in early July 2026 and ready to take on a full-time placement.
  • You’re capable of managing multiple priorities and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.
