Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Access Manager to work alongside the Head of Identity and Access Management in supporting the GIS Workplace team with management of user access to internal corporate IT systems on a global scale.  You will be an expert in the operational aspects of access management with a passion for detail and the determination to deliver excellence from this essential part of the Workplace team.

 

The Access Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the access entitlement management service, pertaining to two main areas:  access provisioning, and access level management.  Furthermore, the role is responsible for the design, implementation and management of the Access Control framework for core IT systems based on Active Directory technologies.  This is a service management and personnel leadership role with specific knowledge in Identity and Access Management from the user lifecycle perspective.  The role is responsible to the business for account access entitlement assignments, modifications and removals; as required as part of an employee’s career journey through Computacenter.  Furthermore, the role is responsible for the provision of enough access to ensure an employee can perform their duties with two primary lenses: end user experience, and; security.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be experienced in operational access management with a proven track record of service delivery and team leadership.

This role requires a firm understanding of the principles of least-access but also requires the successful candidate to drive the user experience within the confines of operational security.  The role will challenge the successful candidate with a balancing of two opposing requirements of transparent and easy access for the user alongside acceptable levels of security and compliance to ensure the company exposes the minimum of a breach capability footprint.

 

The GIS Workplace Access Manager will report to the Head of Identity and Access Management and will form an essential element of the department delivering a secure and reliable working environment to Computacenter’s 17,000 users.

 

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

            •             Be responsible for the operational provisioning of user account access entitlement for Computacenter’s core systems, including Active Directory, SAP and Remedy;

            •             Manage the design of the Access Control model, and implement development in line with departmental strategy;

            •             Own the operation of the core tools required to manage the Access Entitlement provisioning and management framework;

            •             Have overall responsibility for the design, quality, availability and suitability of request forms in Computacenter’s Request Management system relating to account provisioning and access assignment;

            •             Ensure that approval workflows for accounts and access are appropriate to mitigate risk but minimal enough to promote a transparent operation;

            •             Provide BTO services for new systems or changes to existing systems, to ensure account provisioning, access assignment and approval capture is managed to expectations;

            •             Be a user experience advocate; driving an enhanced user experience wherever possible;

            •             Manage a team of provisioning analysts to support the provisioning service;

            •             Meet with key stakeholders to the provisioning and access service periodically to ensure expectations are being met and changes to service are conveyed;

            •             Engage with the department’s reporting function to ensure reports, presentations and event monitoring is performed to expectation;

            •             Perform investigations and present findings on exceptions or incidents that are relevant to provisioning and access activities;

            •             Provide internal and external audit support.

 

Key Requirements:

            •             5+ years of relevant experience in an IT Access Management position;

            •             5+ years team leadership experience;

            •             Experience in the deployment and management of Access Control models (DAC, RBAC, etc.);

            •             Experience of migrating from DAC to RBAC in a large corporate setting an advantage;

            •             Familiarity with Remedy ITSM, Biomni FrontOffice, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure;

            •             Familiarity with industry leading Access Control tools (Okta, Quest, Saviynt, etc.)

            •             Excellent report writing skills, with competencies in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

            •             Capable of reporting to a range of seniority levels, including Executive;

            •             Competent with recruitment, one-to-one and annual appraisal personnel tasks;

            •             Be able to converse at a business level in English;

            •             A meticulous attitude towards problem-solving;

            •             A desire to own and develop a service as a self-starter.

 

Recommended Certificates:

            •             ITIL Specialist

            •             Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

            •             A recognised qualification in Access Management or Security (CIAM, CAMS, CISSP, CCSP, etc.)
