Join our Group Warehouse & Transport Services team and help shape the future of transport and packaging across our European and UK operations. You will work with colleagues across logistics, procurement, sustainability, legal, finance and customer teams, building a high-performing supplier network that supports business growth and delivers an excellent customer experience.

This is a wide-ranging role with the opportunity to lead commercial, compliance, resilience and sustainability initiatives across multiple countries. You will combine strategic thinking with operational delivery, helping us reduce risk and environmental impact while introducing innovative, scalable services.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage a high-performing network of transport, packaging and logistics suppliers across Europe and the UK.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, supplier selection, onboarding, commercial negotiations and contract lifecycle management.
• Set clear service, cost, quality, compliance and sustainability measures, using performance reviews and improvement plans to deliver results.
• Ensure compliance with relevant European and UK transport, packaging and environmental legislation, including Extended Producer Responsibility requirements.
• Strengthen supplier governance through audits, certifications, ethical standards, risk controls and corrective action plans.
• Build robust business continuity and contingency plans, including alternative sourcing strategies for critical services and materials.
• Drive reductions in packaging waste and transport emissions, promoting reuse, recycling and wider circular-economy initiatives.
• Identify new technologies and opportunities to improve automation, digitalisation, efficiency and customer experience.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to develop innovative transport and packaging solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

What you'll need

• Significant experience in European transport, logistics, packaging or supply chain management.
• A strong track record of managing third-party suppliers across multiple countries, including sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier governance.
• Knowledge of relevant European and UK transport, packaging and environmental regulations.
• Experience of supply chain risk management, business continuity planning and cross-functional improvement programmes.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data and market insight into practical action.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across different countries, cultures and business areas.
• A collaborative, resilient and results-focused approach, with strong attention to detail and governance.
• Experience within IT logistics, technology supply chains or technical services would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of ESG, sustainability reporting, carbon reduction, circular-economy initiatives, ISO standards or supplier audit frameworks would also be beneficial.
• A relevant professional qualification in supply chain, procurement, transport or logistics is desirable.
