Our Service Managers are responsible for developing a long-term partnership with our customers by providing high-quality advice and support whilst coming up with creative solutions to challenges and helping organisations to address their business needs and objectives more efficiently. The service managers are the face of our services business and are often seen as an extended part of the customer team, through their proximity and solid understanding of the customer's business and its people. 

 

Our Service Management division is placed right at the heart of our business and the services they provide for some of the world’s largest organisations help to keep the public safe, keep planes in the air, entertain the world and develop lifesaving drugs. For over 10 years, our services teams have developed outstanding opportunities for undergraduate placement students, giving them real-world experience within a thriving industry and we have regularly appeared in the Top 60 Small-Medium Student Employers table on Higheirn, coming in at number 3 in 2024. What you’ll do 

During your 13-month programme, you will be joining one of our customer account teams helping to keep critical services running for some of the world’s largest organisations. 

 

  •  Establish long-lasting relationships with the customer, internal teams, and partners by helping to respond to any enquiries and requests.
  • Gain an understanding of your customer's business objectives and goals and help to add value to new and existing services.
  • Develop your presentation and communication skills by helping to create and present customer-facing documentation.
  • Attend customer and internal meetings to keep track of key actions and ensure our services are being delivered in line with contractual obligations and strategic goals.
  • Exposure to a global corporate environment with an opportunity to work with colleagues across the world (e.g. Spain, France, Germany, South Africa).
  • Develop your knowledge of technical services, best practices, and work towards an industry industry-recognised qualification to aid your future career development.
  • Analyse key performance metrics and trends and provide valuable insight to improve or grow services 

 

At the end of the 13 months, you will head back to university to complete your degree with the potential to consider applying to rejoin Computacenter on one of our graduate programmes. 

 
What you’ll need

  • You’ll need to be studying at undergraduate level in your second year of university in any degree discipline and be in your penultimate year of study.
  • You’ll have a keen interest in technology and striving to achieve outstanding levels of service to customers.
  • You’ll be personable with the ability to communicate and build relationships.
  • You’ll need to be adaptable to situations and be proactive in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • You’ll be hardworking and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • You’ll need to be adaptable to situations and be proactive in problem-solving and decision-making
  • You should bring theoretical learnings from your studies and put them into practice with Computacenter’s Service Management team 
  • You are free from early July 2026 to start in role.
