Short Description of the Role:

This is an exciting Business Analyst role joining a centralised Business Intelligence team in Information Services developing extensive reporting and cutting-edge insights across the business.


Full Description of the Role:

At Computacenter we understand that data is our most valuable asset. We enable the business to make informed data-driven decisions that otherwise could not be made. Business Intelligence at Computacenter encompasses a range of reporting tools, reports, cubes & web applications. This is made possible by collecting data from internal and external sources, transforming and modelling it into dimensional structures using industry standard best practices.

•             Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of the Services area while considering the needs and strategy of the organisation as a whole.

•             Work closely with internal stakeholders and interpret requirements via the change process, working alongside developers and managers within software development life cycle best practices.

•             Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritise competing demands, and tailor communication at different levels depending on the need.

•             Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make and escalate as appropriate.

•             Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce change in the technical estate.

•             Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and present to stakeholders and other colleagues when necessary.

•             Support staff and teams in making changes, including helping to resolve any issues that might impact the delivery timelines. E.g. managing scope creep.

•             More than anything you will have a deep passion for data and the potential it holds, a keen eye for detail and a drive to immerse yourself in and learn from an accomplished company that invests in future talent.


Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Day to day, you will become immersed in Business Analysis activities relating to Business Intelligence solution development.  



Knowledge of data warehouses. Data Analysis skills. Solid communication skills and ability to think critically. Attention to detail.



Statistical analysis. Data Visualisation. Programming language skills/and or basic knowledge – E.g., T-SQL, C#.
