Apprentice Warehouse Operative

Location: UK - Hatfield | Job-ID: 58321 | Contract type: Fixed Term Contract | Business Unit: Others

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic customer service to visitors and staff to ensure consistent experience
  • Performs routine task as directed by line manger to ensure tasks are completed within time
  • Responding to ad-hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager to ensure service is not impacted
  • Escalates service issues to line manager to ensure customer demands are met
  • Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation.
  • Manual handling - Loading and unloading materials onto transport (some heavy lifting sometimes required)
  • Manage stock inventories
  • Ensure warehouse and workstations are kept clean and tidy in line with company policies on safety and quality

 

 

What We Need

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft  Operating Applications
  • Able to follow simple work instructions
  • Provides basic customer service
  • Basic Administrative skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, basic literacy and numeracy skills

 

Whether you’re are a school/college leaver or a first or second jobber. We are looking for individuals who want to begin and build a career within Computacenter, by joining our Apprenticeship programme in our Hatfield Warehouse. Our prefered minimum entry requirements are GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in Maths, English.

 

 

What's in it for you?

This apprenticeship will give you the full training required to gain the qualification Level 2 in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative. You will achieve this by splitting your time completing your online course alongside work experience at Computacenter. This apprenticeship lasts for 18 months on a fixed term contract with an apprentice wage paid. There is no guarantee of a permanent job at the end of the contract, however successful completion of the apprenticeship programme will mean it is highly likely that you will be offered a full-time position at Computacenter.
