Accountant (Management Accounts)

Life on the team

 

Our Group Finance Operations function is responsible for the operation of all key financial processes across the Group. Our objective is to provide effective and efficient finance services and business support to enable our customers to deliver their goals. Our aim is to implement consistent group processes to deliver the best practice way of working.

 

In the Accounting team, we work to proactively facilitate and provide efficient, meaningful and commercial analysis of management information to provide support to the Commercial Finance team. 

 

A key responsibility of this team includes Month End Production tasks.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Monthly analysis across Business Services areas looking at the business profitability and margins.
  • Work with the business to understand and resolve potential issues.
  • Reconciliation and investigation of Intercompany transactions.
  • Involvement with ad hoc Finance projects.
  • Analysis and production of the accounts in a timely and accurate manner in line with the month end timetable.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Proactively and continuously improve processes and systems.
  • Provide support to other areas of finance and the business.
  • IFRS16 analysis and reporting into Group Finance.

 

What you’ll need

 

  • ACCA/CIMA finalist or qualified.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role.
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage as the candidate will be expected to assist the Management Accountant in their role.
  • Excel to Advanced level.
  • Previous experience of working with SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-financial managers on financial issues.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ensure that pre-defined deadlines are regularly achieved.
  • Analyse root cause of issues.
  • Provide clear, concise information to allow others to put actions into place.
