Life on the team
Due to growth in our operations, we are looking for someone to join the Field & On-Site Servies (FOS) Commercial Operations Team as a Commercial Specialist to assist us with our continued programme to reduce our cost to serve and standardise our approach to charging.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your primary role will be to the ownership & governance of our INVEST processes & our SHARED services structure in terms of cross-charging accuracy and Utilisation reporting, analysis & insight. Additionally, with an understanding of Computacenter’s financial processes, you will be able to assist with identifying over/under performance from our teams, support monthly charges forecasting, and supporting the Change to Service (CTS) governance, x-charge tracking & reporting.
Whilst we are based in the UK, our scope covers the whole of Field & On-Site Services Operations globally. Our policy is for hybrid working, with at least 40% working days at a company office over each fortnight, however, we are flexible about which office you are aligned to.
What you’ll do
- Support the Commercial Operations function in their role across the whole of FLS. In particular:
- Ownership and primary contact for all aspects of the FOS Cost Collector structure & process (Invest, Shared, Dedicated).
- Ensure Customer Contractual & other charging (system & manual) is accurate and in line with published policies.
- Ensure that CTS x-charging changes are captured and accurately posted through the monthly cross-charging processes.
- Act as a commercial advisor to all Operations across our Field & On-Site Services countries.
- Support our drive to improve cost to serve through the application of systems and processes that monitor efficient service costs and recoveries
- Support the financial planning, review process and forecasting.
- Support the FOS change programme & growth strategy and the aligned x-charging policies & process.
- Support the harmonisation simplification and relevance the FOS services x-charging mechanisms.
- Define reporting mechanisms to highlight and improve understanding of over and under performance.
Interface with multiple stakeholders across the company and FOS
- Oversee monthly x-charging by Business Support and various Finance contacts.
- Identify and confirm changes to cross-charges arising from in-life changes.
- Work with Group Commercial Finance colleagues on the month-end reporting cycle.
- Work with Group Commercial Finance colleagues & FOS Operations to support the monthly forecasts
- Highlight risks and opportunities across FOS.
What you’ll need
- Good understanding of financial processes.
- An understanding of basic accounting.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of German would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ideally, some understanding of the principles in a Services Partnering outsourcing business.
- Ability to build & maintain good working relationships across the organisation.
- Able to travel to our international locations
