Vendor Partner Specialist

About the role

 

Creation and controlling of all manufacturer or partner-related claims, KPIs or services for Services and material requirements. Active interface and contact person between the operational areas for the manufacturers or partners. Ensure that the agreed services or requirements of the manufacturers and partners are adapted to our service processes. 

 

What you will do

 

Supply Chain Management: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of company/Customer assets. Ensure the timely (On Time, In Full, No Errors) delivery of goods and materials required for SWAP and DAAS operations. Being an interphase between our customer account dedicated staff, the customers, and partner. Working closely with the company RC/Workshops to assist with the compliance on:

 

  • Returns – Taking actions to minimise the Quality Hold status
  • Returns – Field engineers are received within 10 working days
  • Returns – SWAP and Courier Partners

 

SWAP Management: Develop and implement strategies for efficient supply and disposal management, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Monitor waste disposal processes and optimize recycling and reuse opportunities.

 

Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and service providers for customer requirements. Negotiate contracts, establish service level agreements, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective services. Supporting the onboarding of new vendor programmes. Commercial negotiator, defining, engaging, and managing purchases in services & solutions.

 

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all activites. Prepare reports on inventory levels, waste management metrics, and disposal activities. Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.

 

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics, disposal management, and changes to government customs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and guidelines.

 

Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline logistics and operational processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations.

 

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of SWAP activities. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as government agencies, suppliers, and disposal service providers. Working with an influencing and collaborative approach with our strategic Partner. Working with the customer to ensure the correct solution for the service need. Working in an influencing and collaborative approach with all strategic stakeholders and partners. Working closely with the cost team to ensure costings for tenders, responses are understood.

 

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain process and service to the customer. Implement appropriate controls to ensure data security, asset protection, and regulatory compliance. Monthly/quarterly meetings with the strategic partners covering performance, opportunities and improvements.

 

Training and Development: Conduct training programs and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members involved in logistics and operations. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to leverage advancements for improved performance.

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Strong knowledge of imports/exports/customs and related government requirements.
  • Proven experience in running a successful Logistics department or transport / operations team.
  • Experience in pro-actively dealing with issues, escalations and owns this through to completion.
  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • High level of experience with IT service management tools and technologies.
  • Flexibility will be crucial as support will be required OOH (Out-of-Hours).
  • A thorough and technical knowledge on the various elements of Service Logistics.
  • A buyer, strategic thinker who is good in negotiating, positioning, and delivering.
  • A good track record of delivering exceptional levels of service.
  • A self-starter and someone who can work on their own initiative.
  • A good level of Technology, Systems Understanding with an element of Engineering background.
  • Membership to a professional Logistics organisation.
  • Multilingual in English and French is desirable.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Fully qualified in relevant professional qualification.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP) is advantageous.
  • 2 years’ experience in Management role.
