Material Master Catalog Specialist 1

About the role

The Material Master Catalog Specialist 1 role sits within the US Material Master team. This team is responsible for the proactive and reactive creation and maintenance of material master records in SAP, as well as other supporting activities. Material Master Catalog Specialist 1 will also be responsible for the proactive and reactive creation, updating and maintenance of various domestic and international customer catalogs and assist customers to select the right products with the best terms. The Material Master Catalog Specialist 1 reports to a Material Master Manager, working under supervision but expected to prioritize own workload to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.

 

Salary range: $25/HR USD

 

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.

  • Receive, manage, query and fulfill client workplace requests via Salesforce Case, Partner Management or Product Information Management (PIM).
  • Create, maintain and update client workplace supply chain materials (material types: HAWA, FRDL, ZBUN).
  • Create and manage customer catalogs with relevant pricing.
  • Ability to work on domestic, tailor made, multinational catalogues and customers. Excludes Networking or Datacenter portfolio of products.
  • Ability to work on Customer bespoke Portfolios including multi-platform outputs (e.g. e-commerce cXML, CSV, CIF). Ensure that the customer has a catalog of products that are available to users that are available to transact within agreed SLA’s Engagement with internal Sales team e.g. Customer Management and Sales Order Management teams.
  • Proactively engage against a schedule to review customer specific, customer tailor made and customer bespoke catalogs to ensure pricing is accurately updated in B2B webshop for purchase.
  • Performs activities related to Catalog Maintenance.
  • Supports the initiation of requests for additions, price updates, or removals to the Portfolio of products working with internal teams such as the Catalog & Merchandising.
  • Co-ordination of applicable vendor or supplier customer bid prices.
  • Stock forecasting (based on run rate / customer forecast).
  • Vendor Meeting Attendance not leading the discussion.
  • Communication and mitigation of constraint information.
  • Product End of Life notification and transition (Not Product Road mapping).
  • Completes regular reviews of the data, on how up to date it is, of normal material codes with Partner Management and Sales with regards to customer-specific material codes and pricing overlays.
  • Maintenance of customer specific price lists and ensuring they are up to date through proactive contact and request with customer management.
  • Monitor Material Master data quality in SAP through regular data audits and DQM process.
  • Identify and remediate data and catalog issues to enhance customer satisfaction and relationship.
  • Prompt processing of internal and external communication via e-mail, Salesforce Case, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Provide cross-cover support for team colleagues during periods of high workload.
  • Support knowledge sharing within the team, keeping documentation, processes and procedures up to date.
  • Support and drive alignment of processes and data models across the Group countries.
  • Promote good communication and collaboration with all members of the US Material Master team.
  • Carry out all work to expected quality and meet SLA, KPI and OLA performance targets.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for innovation, process improvement, efficiencies and cost savings.

 

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Good knowledge of the major IT manufacturers and their products.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains.
  • Keeps up to date using relevant data sources.
  • Able to articulate the service the customer requires and delivers to that standard.
  • Reliability, conscientiousness, accountability of own workload and initiative
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good self-organization and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented working and thinking.
  • Excellent English spoken and written communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.

  • Sound knowledge of MS-Office (word, excel, outlook, teams, one note).
  • Willingness to travel if required.
