Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads customer deployment projects from initiation through delivery and closure. Depending on the size and structure of the engagement, the Senior Project Manager may serve as the primary customer contact or work under the direction of a Program Manager who owns the broader customer relationship. In either model, the Senior Project Manager owns project-level planning, fulfillment oversight, shipping readiness, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and confirmation of successful delivery. Working across customers, Sales, engineering, production and integration, logistics, and other delivery functions, the Senior Project Manager establishes project direction, drives accountability, and ensures customer commitments are understood and actively managed. The role has no direct reports but leads cross-functional project teams through influence, sound judgment, and disciplined execution. Success requires a strong service orientation, high professionalism, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple customer deployments with competing priorities and dependencies.

What you'll be doing

Customer and Project Leadership

  • Lead assigned projects from initiation through delivery and closure, maintaining alignment on scope, schedule, priorities, responsibilities, and outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact or, when a Program Manager owns the broader relationship, lead project-level communication and delivery in alignment with that role.
  • Build customer trust through professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and consistent follow-through.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through influence, setting priorities and driving accountability without direct reporting authority.

Fulfillment Planning and Readiness

  • Monitor open orders received from Sales Support and manage customer fulfillment requests, schedule requirements, priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain integrated plans covering technical approvals, production services, shipping, delivery, resources, dependencies, and customer readiness.
  • Confirm international compliance readiness with Sales before applicable orders advance.
  • Ensure order documentation, technical approvals, production requirements, logistics details, and site-readiness requirements are complete and aligned to required dates.

Production, Shipping, and Delivery Oversight

  • Schedule and oversee production services, build requests, and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with production planning teams to monitor progress and resolve schedule, capacity, quality, and readiness issues.
  • Confirm production and shipping requirements are satisfied before release, escalating material risks with clear impacts and recommended actions.
  • Provide Professional Services and customers with required logistics, deliverable, shipment, and tracking information.
  • Monitor shipments through delivery and confirm receipt at the customer site before considering the applicable work complete.

Project Controls and Communication

  • Monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer commitments.
  • Maintain accurate project, order, production, shipment, risk, issue, and decision information in designated systems.
  • Provide customers, account teams, Program Managers, and delivery leadership with clear status, risk, milestone, and action reporting.
  • Assess changes in scope or priority and communicate impacts to timing, cost, resources, dependencies, and customer expectations.

Closure and Continuous Improvement

  • Validate completion of project requirements, obtain customer acceptance, and complete required documentation, financial, and closure activities.
  • Lead project health checks, recovery efforts, and lessons-learned reviews as appropriate.
  • Drive practical improvements to delivery processes, controls, reporting, and cross-functional ways of working.

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within data centers, IT infrastructure, technology deployment, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, concurrent projects and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, preferred
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.
