Global Travel Manager

Your future tasks will be…

This role will be responsible for overseeing Computacenter’s travel programme and spend across multiple regions. Working under the direction of the Global Procurement Director, you will implement agreed travel strategies and initiatives, promote policy compliance and support the effective management of travel suppliers, systems and processes.

You will manage the regional travel teams while overseeing global travel policy, suppliers, booking tools and technology platforms.

Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, you will work closely with regional stakeholders, operational teams and external travel partners to deliver agreed initiatives, support programme adoption and contribute to organisational objectives.

 

On a daily basis: 

  • Analyse travel spend and identify cost saving, value creation and service improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a strong commercial focus and support the delivery and tracking of measurable financial benefits
  • Partner with business units to identify travel savings opportunities, improve compliance and reduce unnecessary travel spend
  • Drive the global travel policy compliance across the group
  • Manage travel team members across the group
  • Develop and maintain programme objectives, milestones and performance measures
  • Provide expert travel consultancy and practical guidance to the business
  • Manage the delivery of travel projects and change initiatives to agreed timelines, scope and objectives
  • Act as key escalation point for complex travel issues and coordinate their resolution with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage the relationship with our TMCs and all key travel suppliers
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecards, KPIs and service level agreements
  • Promote adoption of approved travel tools, policies and best-practice processes within the assigned scope
  • Support traveller risk, duty of care and emergency response processes in collaboration with relevant internal teams and suppliers
  • Contribute travel expertise to the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and operating standards
  • Produce accurate, timely and professional company email communications
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiency

 

 

You are the ideal candidate if...

  • You are fluent business English; additional European languages would be beneficial
  • You have a relevant degree or procurement, commercial, travel or project qualification
  • You have extensive experience managing corporate travel programmes across multiple countries
  • You understand large multi-region contracts and key commercial and legal principles
  • You produce accurate spend analysis, reports and performance insights
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring companywide communications are correct
  • You have experience implementing travel policies, procedures and governance requirements
  • You can deliver travel projects and multiple initiatives to agreed timelines
  • You have a proven track record operating within a complex commercial environment
  • You have experience implementing and driving adoption of KDS Neo or other online booking tools
  • You manage TMCs and global travel suppliers with strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • You have 10+ years’ experience working in an international organisation
  • You can influence stakeholders and present effectively to senior leaders
  • You have advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have experience coaching others and promoting best practice
