At Computacenter, our Programme Managers play a pivotal role in helping our customers achieve their business and technology ambitions. You will take end to end accountability on technology integrations — ensuring governance, structure, innovation, and excellence across the Programme.
What you’ll do
Programme & Portfolio Leadership:
- Lead the definition and delivery of large, complex Merger and Acquisition programmes.
- Design programmes that align with organisational strategy, setting clear objectives, scope, and success criteria.
- Oversee multiple delivery teams, ensuring consistent project controls and high quality execution.
- Manage interdependencies across programmes
- Drive continuous improvement through regular reviews, lessons learned, and development of new tools and methodologies.
- Support customers in building strong business cases that demonstrate ROI.
- Define and achieve KPIs that support customer and organisational growth.
- Deliver advisory services, including formal capability and maturity assessments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all level (including C-Suite)
Financial & Commercial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for programmes and portfolios.
- Manage commercial baselines, statements of work, and contract changes.
- Ensure proactive cost management and revenue forecasting.
Governance & Compliance:
- Develop and maintain governance structures aligned to Computacenter and customer standards.
- Ensure compliance with project, programme, and portfolio management methods.
- Lead assurance activities for all projects within the portfolio.
Team Leadership:
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build capability across the function.
- Lead cross functional and culturally diverse teams in alignment with Computacenter’s values.
- Source and shape the right delivery team to meet programme objectives.
- Manage relationships with external partners to ensure aligned delivery outcomes.
Sales Support & Growth:
- Help shape our M&A capability of the future
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership to customers and support sales engagements.
- Shape solutions and proposals during presales activities.
- Present methods, solutions, and proposals to customers with confidence
Risk, Opportunity & Change Management:
- Ensure robust change management processes across all programme and portfolio activity.
- Aggregate and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Proactively identify and manage opportunities for improvement and value creation.
What you’ll bring
- Formal certification in Waterfall or Agile Programme Management (or equivalent)
- Excellent experience within Mergers and Acquisition programmes.
- Proven success in leading large, complex, multi stakeholder initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial and sales awareness.
- Strategic thinker with strong decision making and data driven insight.
- Competent with programme/portfolio tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or ServiceNow SPM.
- Ability to articulate technology propositions clearly and confidently.
