IT Support Technician

The Group Technical Resources Group (Group TRG) is responsible for staffing our technical services with the right people (skill) at the right time, at the right place delivering the requested service with high customer satisfaction and competitive conditions.

 

We provide a flexible means of supplying technical resource staff to all business units enabling service teams, Project Management, maintenance services and consultants, by providing the correct number of technicians, engineers and skill sets as and when required. This enables Computacenter to respond quickly and effectively to changes in the customer environment.

 

We’re currently looking for an experienced IT Technician/Technical Analyst to join our team, working at our customer’s offices in Belfast.

 

Please note – The role will require high level government vetting so only those eligible for government clearances such as SC and DV clearance need apply.

 

What you’ll do

 

 

  • Perform a range of technical work activities either remotely or at customer site to meet business and customer requirements
  • Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met
  • Able to communicate on issues to meet business and customer requirements to avoid escalations
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure consistent experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic team environments to maintain consistent effective contribution
  • Ensure Department/Contract meets SLA performance targets
  • Maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Keep skills up to date with IT industry standards as appropriate to the role/contract.

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Proven experience in IT Service environment
  • Ideally certified in appropriate technologies, Dell and Windows to support business strategy
  • Flexible approach to work, covering sites remotely as well as occasional visits to Scotland
  • Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to resolving complex problems and assignments
  • Demonstrates ability to engage and influence on issues at all levels both internally and customer facing
  • Works under general supervision
  • Uses discretion
  • Able to define and follow instructions and procedures 
  • Demonstrates an organised approach to work
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • Routine administrative skills
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrates awareness of health and safety at work.
