Software Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Web Developer to join our Computacenter team in Group Delivery. The Web Developer will be actively involved in developing web based operational applications for internal / external customers. The role will entail working amongst a development team and will include the design, development and maintenance support for all developed applications/code.
What you’ll do
Technical 80%
- Web/Application development
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices during development cycle.
- Adhere to escalation procedures
- Assist with technical escalations for other team members
- Adhere to customer and Computacenter Security Policies
Administration 20%
- Contribute to and use the team documentation
- Participate in team and customer meetings
- Ensure accurate completion of all development & incident type records and associated paperwork
- To monitor and update the call management system as required (including problems, requests, changes)
What you’ll need
- Designing, Developing and Maintaining specific web/application-based solutions for Computacenter internal/external customers within Tooling team.
- The right candidate should have experience with the following skill set.
- Development Frameworks / Libraries: Angular 10+, MVC , .Net Core, SOLID principles, Design Patterns
- Languages: C#, LINQ
- Web tools: HTML5, TypeScript, CSS3, BootStrap5,
- Data Handling: Entity framework, GIT
- Middleware: Webservices, Rest API
- Backend DBMS: MS SQL, SSRS reports
- Having working knowledge in Azure DevOps, will be a good to have skills
- We are looking for someone, with 4-5 years’ experience, who can communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders at a technical level, providing support and guidance as well as designing/developing from a set of requirements.
Experience & Education:
- 4 - 5 years web/application development experience is necessary
- Working knowledge of application with support skills.
- Good understanding of Agile development practices & methodologies and IT infrastructure
- Ability to work on own initiative, develop and resolve problems in a pressurised environment.
- Ability to resolve technical issues in customer and Computacenter environment/operating systems.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to take a methodical approach to service issues
- Contributes to, supports and works within the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
