Senior Technical Analyst-Automation Testing

Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and experienced Test Analyst professional, a specialist resource skilled in testing concepts, process, develop test cases, execute and report in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will take responsibilities of executing assigned testing projects, gaining in depth understanding of the CC’s business process flows/application functionalities, ensuring high quality in accordance with CC standards and processes.
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role and advance their career within Computacenter.
Brief Overview of the Position
Serve as a Technical Expert for Automation projects, responsible for information gathering, requirement analysis, drafting test plan, test scripts/scenarios, manage test data and other artefacts of Test automation. Estimate, Prepare, Execute and Report all Test actions. Share comprehensive reports, insights, overall summary and participate in all reviews and defect triage. Gain deep understanding of CC’s Business process and function flows and ensure high quality standards in line with CC’s processes and compliance.
What you’ll do
Test Planning (5%)
- Develop/Participate in Test planning and Test Strategy
- Provide Effort Estimate for Test Preparation and Execution based on requirement
- Factor all aspects while drafting Detailed Test Plan (Resource On Boarding, Env Setup, Tool Availability, Support etc)
- Validate Test Processes and Test Templates are available
- Ensure WAR Room, Daily stand up calls, DSR, WSR and Entry and Exit Criteria are defined and cascaded to all Participants and stakeholders
Test Preparation (50%)
- Review and Understand the Test plan and Test Strategy
- Understand the Objective of the Test Phase and Release
- Develop/Build Details Test Scripts/Scenarios as per Requirements or User Stories
- Ensure to have RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix) for all the Test Scripts Developed
- Ensure Test Scripts are Dynamic in nature and build with reusable concept for future
- Ensure to insert steps to validate all check points
- Ensure Scripts are fully automated no partial/semi-automated scripts. No Manual Intervention until its mandate
- Ensure Test Data tray is available as per test script requirements or created for execution
- Review and Validate all required Test Cases/Scenarios are available in Test Management tool (Prefer SPIRA)
- Check required Environment is Up and ready to Testing
- All integration points are intact (3rd Party Apps if any) and connected
- Understand, SPIRA Structure (releases, test sets, test cases)
- Maintain High level technical specification documents for each test script for reference
- Review Test Scripts and Ensure coverage is 100% against the requirement
Test Execution (35%)
- Validate all Entry Criteria’s are met for Test Execution
- Ensure all Changes/build are Migrated to Testing Systems/Environment
- Validate Required Data is handy and available in System (Master or Transaction Data)
- Ensure all Test User IDs are working and equipped with all required access and Authorizations as per roles and responsibilities
- Ensure Test Environment/Systems are ready and connect with all interfaces and 3rd Party System/Applications.
- Ensure Smoke/Sanity Test is performed before actual Testing
- Ensure test execution progressing as per plan and requirement coverage
- Log Defects in Defect Management tool (Prefer SPIRA) with all details steps and classify defect severity/priority correctly in tool
- Follow up on defect as per SLA and Participate in Defect Triage meeting, share detail inputs if required and Retest post fix.
- Extend support during UAT and/or Hypercare for any clarifications.
- Identify Regression test suites as appropriate and if required perform regression testing
Project Reporting & Closure (10%)
- Review all Test Scripts and Test Logs
- Ensure Exit Criteria is met post Test phase conclusion
- Raise issues/risks real time to Test Manager to eliminate blockers, during Preparation and Execution
- Provide Daily Status Report (DSR) to Test Manager or to Portfolio Manager
- Participate in Test Status/Progress Review, contribute/run defect triage
- Connect with Dev team and Business users and other stakeholders for test related activities for seamless delivery
- Obtain review and sign-off from BA/SMEs
- Review open Defects and work towards closure based on Defect Priority.
- Ensure all P1 and P2 defects are closed and Should have closure plan for P3 and P4 defects
- Performed detailed RCA for duplicate and recurring defects, also defects encountered during UAT/Hypercare or Post GoLive
- Prepare Test Closure /Summary Report with appropriate lesson learnt
- Ensure all Testing Artefacts are saved and placed in Test Management tool and Respective project is “Marked” as closed in SPIRA.
What you’ll need
- Overall 8-10 Years of Experience in Test Automation
- Minimum 5+ Years in hands on experience in TOSCA
- Good with TOSCA Custo9misation and Integration
- Should have good hands and knowledge TDS and TDM
- Good knowledge in TOSCA Setup (Folder Creation, Repository Build)
- Should be Familiar with TOSCA Execution Tray, Scanning Process and Comparison
- Should have hands experience in Dex Setup and Execution
- Should have worked on TOSCA In Premises or Cloud servers
- Should be aware of Licenses (Developer, Master and Executor)
- Should have good understanding Automation Strategies and Approach
- Should have led atleast team of 4-5 Member.
- Should have good understanding of Applications like SAP, Salesforce and worked on web based applications and APIs
- Must have good understanding of SDLC and STLC knowledge
- Good to Build and Execute Test Scripts with minimal help
- Able to communicate and connect with all parties required to Build Test Scripts and Execute
- Must have integration knowledge of tools and applications (Prefer from Automation Prospects)
- Carries Strong knowledge in Test Techniques, Test Management tools and Testing Processes
- Must have good hands on experience in Defect Management process and able to drive/run Defect triage calls
- Should be good with customer and stakeholder management
- Create knowledge base as appropriate
- Apt to Collaborate with all dependency groups to get the open issues addressed during Test creation/Test execution/defects tracking
- Ability to understand the big picture of the project scope or the application
- Able to identify and Regression suite based on Business criticality or must run scenarios/scripts
- Able to Estimate test activities
- Analyse business, functional and technical requirements and translate them into testable artefacts
- Define test data requirements to support test scripts preparation and execution
- Understand the changes/enhancements and incorporate into script via maintenance and able to manage impact based testing
- Assist the Test Managers / Portfolio leads during Test planning phase and progress reporting stage.
- Identify improvement opportunities in the testing space and feed into Test Management process
- Adhere with CC standards and processes during project test execution.
Good to Have
- ISTQB Foundation + additional certification as relevant + Advanced certification as appropriate to the skills/roles
- Agile fundamentals training
- TOSCA- AS1, AS2, TDS1, TDS2, TOSCA for SAP
- Excellent analytical skills, able to understand e2e solutions and troubleshoot issues
- Good functional understanding of any of the platforms/products such as SAP, SNOW, Genesys, Salesforce
- Technical tool training such as Postman, API test tool, Java scripting etc.,
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with project stakeholders and senior leaders
