Application Packager - Third Line Analyst
Description
Application Packager will be responsible for making a positive difference and contributing to the development of the Service Control, responsible for the quality of packaged/sequenced applications in line with customer requirements. Responsible for ensuring processes and standards are followed and throughput of work is maintained.

Job Description
- Providing technical documentation on a range of technical issues as required
- Installation and configuration of desktop Operating Systems
- Installation and configuration of customer specific business applications
- Management of hardware and source media required for application package creation
- Problem management and troubleshooting
- Working with clients to facilitate UAT testing, ensuring sign off and all outstanding issues are documented/reported
- Reporting verbally and via process documentation project progress / issues to line management
- Producing procedural documentation of application packaging processes for the benefit of knowledge sharing and improved efficiency
- Keeping up-to-date with current and future technologies, products and strategies
- Management of application packaging library and workflow tracking system
- Turn Customer requirements into fully functional Application Packages that install successfully with all the required configuration
- Mentoring other members of team
Essential Knowledge/Skills
7-10 years’ experience in the following areas:
- Installation and configuration of the Microsoft OS
- ICE Validation, App-V,
- Working experience of SMS/SCCM
- Demonstrating quality application packaging using MSI technology
- Proficiency in Wise and InstallShield, ORCA
- Active directory, file protection and registry hives
- Interpersonal and professional skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- VB Scripting
- PowerShell
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification relating to any or all of Microsoft SCCM
- ITIL Foundation
- Relevant IT diploma or Degree.
