Life on the Team
The Salesforce Developer plays a key role within Computacenter’s Salesforce Function, responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high‑quality, scalable, and secure Salesforce solutions. Working as part of an Agile product team, the developer contributes to delivering enhancements, features, and fixes that support Computacenter’s CRM, CPQ, and emerging Salesforce capabilities (Service, Marketing, Data Cloud, AI).
What you will do
- Develop, customise, and extend Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Flows, and platform configuration.
- Build integrations (inbound & outbound) following platform guardrails and best practices.
- Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Produce technical documentation including technical design specs, data models, and integration patterns.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across environments.
- Build unit tests and ensure adherence to Salesforce coding standards.
- Support release cycles managed via CI/CD, ensuring code quality through Gearset/Pipelines (aligned with Release Manager responsibilities).
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and reviews.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Functional Consultants, Architects, testers and Admins.
- Support prototyping, fit‑gap analysis, and impact assessment for new features and seasonal releases.
- Work with the Technical Lead and Architects on scalable solution designs.
- Engage with cross‑functional teams (GIS, CTO architecture, business stakeholders) following the operating model practices referenced in CC Salesforce governance materials.
- Identify opportunities to optimise the platform, automate processes, and introduce innovative designs.
- Stay current with new Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends (as emphasised by CC’s platform operating principles).
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), and platform configuration.
- Experience working on complex Salesforce orgs with multi‑cloud components (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ).
- Proven track record developing secure, scalable, and performance‑optimised solutions.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Copado, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, RCA and/or Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
- Knowledge of middleware (MuleSoft, Informatica) and broader integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud and AI capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to collaborate in a cross‑functional Agile team.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I (required).
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (preferred).
- Additional certifications (Admin, CPQ Specialist) beneficial.
