Senior Project Manager -Testing
Life on the team
Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and highly experienced Test Management professionals with vast testing skills, to bring maturity to their existing project management approach. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in Test Management, managed a portfolio of testing projects, develop and execute test strategy and Test plans with high-quality, cost-effective approach in line with the testing objectives, successful delivery of a test programme or large project into a client account. Also acts as an advisor to the client helping them to define their strategy for Test and Quality Management
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong Test management and advance their career within Computacenter.
What you'll do
- Deep understanding of Portfolio of projects and / or Test Programmes, or large projects, taking ownership of ensuring end to end delivery of projects under the portfolio
- Managing resource allocation to projects, PnLs, obtaining budgets from projects time to time to ensure recovery cost is in line with targets.
- Align with Test strategy and Execution vision and goals which in turn align with Operational Delivery vision and goals that includes, cost, quality and schedule.
- Work with CTO functions within GIS , PMO for early visibility of projects and planning of Test management.
- Work with project PMs to ensure smooth delivery of projects and support test planning and test management as appropriate.
- Each project should adhere to Test process and ensure highest quality of deliverables and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring Test reporting accuracy from Test managers. Gathering defined metrics for the same.
- Gain in-depth understanding of the portfolio of systems and environment, understanding of how the systems are aligned within CC and delivered to the customer satisfaction.
- Develop Test automation roadmap, drive Test automation to reap the cost benefits
What you'll need
- The Portfolio Test Manager will be responsible for the overall portfolio of Testing projects right from test strategy, execution and ensuring smooth delivery of the projects.
- Ensure projects are adhered to agreed budget with appropriate resources planned, allocated/recruited.
- Strategic thinking, Client interactions
- Periodic review of Projects with all project teams that includes all necessary stakeholders.
- Understanding Test Automation and develop roadmap and drive automation initiatives
- Deep understanding of Testing and Test Management, Test Process and defining test metrics
- Accurate Project reporting and Portfolio level reporting to leadership team
- Manage a project team as applicable.
- Demand capacity planning and resource management
- Act as a Test Manager for some of projects as and when required.
- Excellent communication skills oral/verbal
- Exposure to interaction with global stakeholders
- Conflicts resolution, Risk management, Team player
- Expérience in matrix management model
- Flexible in working hours being in UK/EU time zone as appropriate
- Strong any domain experience, industry expertise
- “Go-No Go” decision maker
- Portfolio level reporting to top leadership with accuracy and thorough review with your Test managers on your projects
