What you’ll do
- Validation of monthly tax registers (Sales, Purchases and RCM). Oversee the accuracy and ensure alignment with books of accounts.
- Identify and optimize GST Input Tax Credit eligibility while ensuring robust documentation for blocked credits under Section 17(5).
- Perform reconciliation (Sales Register vs. E-invoicing report and Purchase Register with GSTR- 2A/2B data).
- Prepare monthly GST returns – GSTR-1/ GSTR-3B/ GSTR-6.
- Preparation of annual GST returns – GSTR-9.
- Preparation of annual GST reconciliation report – GSTR-9C.
- Ensure zero lapses in timelines and data accuracy.
- Perform detailed Revenue and ITC reconciliation at State level b/w FS vs. GSTR-9.
- Ensure GST credit reversal and reclaim is reported correctly.
- Validate transactions in IMS portal and act on accepting/ rejecting (Credit Notes particularly).
- Prepare Intra-Company support cross charge invoices.
- Preparation of data needed for GST Audit, Show Cause Notices, Intimations.
- Support in representing the company during GST audits and departmental assessments.
- Preparation of working file for GST refund applications – Exports and SEZ Supplies.
- Filing GST registration amendments/ new applications on need basis.
- Support business on e-invoicing, e-way bill generation.
What you’ll need
- B.Com/ M.Com with 5 – 6 years of experience in Indirect Taxation (GST)
- LLB/ Semi-Qualified with 3 – 4 years of experience in Indirect Taxation (GST)
- Hands-on experience in Accounting and GL reconciliation
- Experience in SAP (S/4HANA & ECC6)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
