Manager - Payroll

Manager Payroll

Job Responsibilities:

    • Collate data from payroll sources
    • Arrange weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
    • Supervise and direct payroll team
    • Direct payroll team’s workload to meet deadlines
    • Administer benefit plans
    • Be knowledgeable about and understand new legislation impacting payroll
    • Process bi-weekly employee payroll payments on time and through the appropriate channels
    • Complete all HR reporting documents and submit them for senior manager approval
    • Calculate and deduct appropriate amounts from payroll checks, including tax withholdings and other garnishments
    • Verify all overtime hours with the appropriate management personnel prior to issuing payroll checks
    • Candidate must possess strong knowledge in benefit and compensation principals, Payroll Taxes, Income Tax, Provident Fund, Labour Laws and Retirals.

Strong knowledge of statutory compliances relating to Payroll like PF/ ESI/ P.Tax and TDS is required

    • Obtain and verify direct deposit banking information from employees
    • Oversee internal payroll and accounting audits on a semi-annual basis
    • Compliance and Governance of Payroll process and Customer Delight

Qualification

  • Good Standard of general education
  • Any graduation or Masters

Experience & knowledge:

  • 12-15 yrs in Payroll Management with IT Industry Background.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Good analytical and numerical ability

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Able to work with demanding deadlines and prioritising workload
  • Good attention to detail
