What You’ll Do
- Be conversant with and adhere to our methodologies for delivering Professional
- Services engagement outcomes to our customers.
- Whether in pre-sales, assurance or delivery, manage the project(s) to ensure they are delivered within the agreed timeframe and budget, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.
- When engaged in pre-sales, define scope, agree requirements, produce the cost model and plans and produce a Statement of Work or provide assurance for others, whilst following the correct governance and approval processes.
- Create and maintain the Project Plan.
- Run or contribute to Initiation Workshops to ensure that all parties understand and accept key information about the approach to the delivery of the project and their associated responsibilities.
- Create or be accountable for ensuring that the required project controls are created and kept up to date.
- Ensure all relevant documents, tools and logs are stored on the Customer site and are up to date to enable central reporting.
- Although Product Descriptions (PDs) for key project deliverables are normally defined in presales, you will need to ensure that they are in place and understand the requirements and required outcomes if you will be delivering the project.
- Manage the identified project resources (direct, matrixed via ISPs or third parties) necessary to deliver the agreed products/deliverables.
- Regularly update all stakeholders and your team on progress against plan, by use of project Highlight or Checkpoint reports and participate in reviews with customers and the project team, as required.
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies for the assignment.
- Manage relevant escalations to resolution.
- Manage third party and delivery teams, ensuring they meet their obligations in accordance with approved Statements of Work.
- Keep Computacenter Partner Management and ISP Management informed of performance, as required.
- Attend/contribute to/lead Project Boards, as required.
- Have a working knowledge of the Internal Service Providers and what services they provide in support of any project you are managing.
What You’ll Need
- Upto 12-15 years of Experience
- Trained in project management methodology, for example; Prince2 or Agile Techniques.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering less-complex large assignments and successful project outcomes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to apply Emotional Intelligence with flexibility, to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs.
- Able to apply influencing skills appropriately to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders and to enable positive assignment outcomes.
- Able to apply a variety of influencing skills to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders, to enable positive assignment outcomes.
- Understand the wider context of the project you are leading.
- Ability to articulate the value of project management to internal and external customers.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
