A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Web Developer to join our GMS Tooling team in Group Delivery. The Web Developer will be actively involved in developing web based operational applications for internal / external customers. The role will entail working amongst a development team and will include the design, development and maintenance support for all developed applications/code.
What you’ll do
Technical 80%
- Application Quality Analyst
- Support the development team in
- Adhere to escalation procedures
- Update DevOps and Github repositories
- Assist with technical escalations for other team members
- Monitor call queue and follow up with specialist support teams for resolution
- Adhere to customer and Computacenter Security Policies
Administration 20%
- Contribute to and use the team documentation
- Participate in team and customer meetings
- Ensure accurate completion of all development & incident type records and associated paperwork
- To monitor and update the call management system as required (including problems, requests, changes)
What you’ll need
- Designing, Developing and Maintaining specific web/application-based solutions for Computacenter internal/external customers within GMS Tooling team.
- The right candidate should have experience with most of the following
- Dev Frameworks / Libraries: Angular 8+, React, Ajax, .Net 6+
- Languages: C#, Microsoft Power Platform
- Web tools: HTML5, TypeScript, CSS3, JQuery/JavaScript, BootStrap3,
- Data Handling: Data Tables, Dapper/Entity framework, CRUD operations
- Middleware: Webservices, Web API, Rest API
- Webservers: MS IIS
- Backend DBMS: MS SQL
- Azure DevOps, Git version control
- Having working knowledge in Powershell and Python will be a good to have skills.
- We are looking for someone, with 3-4 years experience, who can communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders at a technical level, providing support and guidance as well as designing/developing from a set of requirements.
Experience & Education:
- 3-4 years web/application development experience is necessary
- Some Infrastructure support experience / exposure at a second line level
- Working knowledge of application, incident management processes with support skills.
- Good understanding of Agile development practices & methodologies and IT infrastructure
- Ability to work on own initiative, develop and resolve problems in a pressurised environment.
- Ability to resolve technical issues in customer and Computacenter environment/operating systems.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to take a methodical approach to service issues
- Contributes to, supports and works within the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
