What you’ll do

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard client networks, systems, and data against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on network and security best practices, technologies, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure and applications, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
• Monitor network traffic, security alerts, and incident reports to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer sessions for clients and internal teams to promote awareness of security threats and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Proven experience in network engineering, security architecture, and cybersecurity roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex network and security solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP stack, VPN technologies, routing and switching concepts, and network architecture principles.
• Proficiency in network and security-related protocols and standards (e.g., SSL/TLS, IPsec, DNSSEC, SNMP, OAuth).
• Hands-on experience with Azure networking services, including Azure Virtual Network, Azure Virtual Network Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Firewall
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN principles, architectures, and deployment models. Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki products, including MX Security Appliances, MS Switches, and MR Wireless Access Points.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Utilize scripting and programming languages Python, Bash, to create automation scripts, workflows, and tools for network orchestration and management.
• Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and software developers to identify automation opportunities, define requirements, and architect scalable automation frameworks. Relevant technical experience, including experience as a Lead Technical Consultant
• Ability to lead teams in the design of in-depth, complex technical solutions
• Relevant industry leading qualifications or accreditations in one or more technology
• Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies and their business application
• Broad knowledge of Computacenter’s solutions portfolio with ability to lead both pre and post-sales engagements which span technology towers
• Demonstrable ability to provide input into commercial/technical documents and to develop solution specific business cases
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to large internal and external audiences and at board level
• Comfortable talking to customers about their business requirements and how they can be addressed by technology solutions, across professional services portfolio
• Experience of producing White Papers
• Ability to lead and organise a large virtual technical team in pre and post-sales environments, with strong negotiation and people management skills
• Integrate network automation solutions with existing infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring systems.
• Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members on automation tools, techniques, and best practices
• Hands-on experience with network devices and platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, and F5 Networks.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), JNCIA_SEC  Security, Associate, JNCIA-DC: Data Center, Check Point Certified Security Administrator certification CCSA, Zscaler Admin certification.

What you’ll need 

• 16+ years’ experience in managing, maintaining and troubleshooting large enterprise environments
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client network infrastructure, security architecture, and policies to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
