Life on the Team
As a Manager-Tax, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our business remains compliant, efficient, and up to date with indirect tax regulations, particularly in relation to Goods and Services Tax (GST) and movement of goods. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors, offering guidance and strategic input that supports informed decision-making. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape tax processes and contribute to impactful tax planning initiatives, all while staying ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends.
What You Will Do
• Oversee GST compliance with a strong focus on movement of goods and related documentation
• Prepare, review, and file indirect tax returns accurately and on time
• Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation and assess their implications on business operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during tax audits
• Provide guidance, training, and support to internal teams on indirect tax matters
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and process improvements
• Assist in the development and implementation of effective indirect tax strategies
• Ensure documentation and records are in line with statutory requirements and audit standards
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, best practices, and evolving tax regulations
What You Will Need
• Proven experience in GST compliance and indirect tax matters, especially related to movement of goods
• Strong knowledge of Indian indirect tax laws and statutory filing processes
• Ability to interpret and apply changes in tax legislation
• Experience in handling tax audits and managing documentation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to lead training sessions and act as a subject matter expert internally
• A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
