 Life on the Team

As a Data Protection Co-ordinator, you will be an integral part of Computacenter’s Group Legal and Compliance function, working directly with the Group Data Protection Officer—who is a key member of the Computacenter Global Senior Leadership Team. Based in Bangalore, you’ll support Data Protection Officers around the globe in delivering critical legal compliance activities. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll engage with stakeholders across various levels of the business, including Computacenter’s India Management Team, legal experts, and operational leads. You will contribute to maintaining our high standards of privacy and data protection across the organization, while growing your own capabilities in a truly global environment. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative, and purpose-driven team that believes in empowering people to thrive while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • Maintain statutory data protection documentation, including privacy notices and records of processing activities
  • Develop and update data protection service descriptions with internal service owners
  • Help ensure timely completion of mandatory compliance training across the organization
  • Support the performance of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Conduct data protection reviews and privacy audits
  • Assist in responding to data subject rights requests
  • Support responses to data protection-related customer queries
  • Track and report on data protection Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Organize compliance events such as training sessions and stakeholder meetings
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify and monitor new data protection regulations and trends

 

What You Will Need

 

  • A self-starter mindset with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • 3+ years of experience
  • A genuine interest in legal compliance and privacy—formal legal qualifications are not required
  • Confidence in following structured processes and identifying areas for improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • Willingness to grow professionally in a compliance-focused role
  • Knowledge or interest in data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPB)
  • Experience working in a multinational or technology-driven environment
