Associate Technical Analyst
Life on the team
Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident Network Security Professionals, to bring maturity to their existing operational risk approach. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in enterprise Network Security and can create a plan to deliver improvements then execute against the plan.
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong Network team and advance their career within Computacenter.
What you'll do
- Assist in monitoring network traffic for potential security threats, intrusions, or vulnerabilities.
- Support the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.).
- Assist in the setup and configuration of secure network architecture.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with risk analysis.
- Help investigate and respond to security incidents under the direction of senior team members.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
What you'll need
- Knowledge of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Familiarity with common network security tools and techniques (firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
- Basic understanding of encryption technologies and security protocols.
- Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for cybersecurity.
