Life on the team
You will join the Platform Security function within Cyber Operations, working at the centre of Computacenter's data security and governance capabilities. The team protects business data across critical systems and services by operating effective controls, improving security policies, and responding to emerging risks.
This is a highly collaborative role with regular engagement across Platform Security, Data Security, Cyber Operations, GRC, BISO, Product Management, platform owners, the CTO function, vendors, and solution partners. You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, stakeholder influence, and continuous service improvement.
What you'll do
- Lead the day-to-day operation, governance, and continuous improvement of Data Loss Prevention capabilities and related data security tooling.
- Manage and optimise DLP policies, policy decisions, exclusions, and exceptions in line with business and security requirements.
- Provide security guidance for solutions that protect Computacenter data across endpoints, cloud platforms, networks, and other critical systems and services.
- Ensure secure configuration standards for data loss protection and data exfiltration prevention are defined, implemented, and maintained.
- Review DLP alerts and events with the Data Security Lead, optimise policies, and ensure emerging risks are addressed promptly.
- Identify gaps in data protection across platforms and services, recommend improvements, and support effective remediation.
- Translate security requirements into practical policies, controls, and configurations within Microsoft Purview and associated technologies.
- Evaluate data security controls in the wider context of operational security, governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Develop meaningful service metrics and management information to support Key Performance Indicators and informed decision-making.
- Build and operate effective processes with a strong focus on control effectiveness, service quality, and continuous improvement.
- Provide local people-management support for Platform Security team members in India, including coaching, regular engagement, and leave approval.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and solution suppliers to support operational delivery, horizon scanning, and technical improvement.
What you'll need
- 10-15 years of overall experience in cybersecurity, including substantial experience in Cyber Operations, data security, Data Loss Prevention, and information governance.
- Proven experience leading DLP services or capabilities in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including DLP policy configuration, alert management, data governance, and policy optimisation.
- Strong understanding of data security across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoints, cloud services, and network environments.
- Experience translating security and business requirements into effective technical controls, policies, configurations, and operating processes.
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, cloud architectures, and common data exfiltration risks.
- Experience managing, coaching, or leading technical team members, ideally within a global or matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to identify control gaps and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills across multi-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent security and cloud certifications are desirable.
