Operational Excellence Director (Managed Services)

About the role 
Provide Leadership and accountability for initiatives that are driven by Delivery Leadership and be the conduit for activities outside of Delivery Leadership and or Group Delivery that have an impact on the function, customers and or contracts where Delivery Leadership holds a key stakeholder role. The role requires availability during UK afternoon hours and occasional anti-social hours where required due to time-zone differences. 

 

Annual compensation: $130K - $170K USD 


What you’ll be doing  

Business Leadership 50% 

  • Responsibility for taking the lead on initiatives that the Delivery Leadership function have identified and or are required to be engaged on as a key stakeholder due to impact on the function and its responsibilities, whilst ensuring global alignment across Delivery Leadership 
  • Responsibility for the creation of virtual Cross Business Unit (X-BU) teams to focus on transformational and Continuous Improvement activities within Delivery Leadership and or where Delivery Leadership is impacted 
  • Collaborate within Delivery Leadership and with other Business Areas in leading initiatives to develop and enhance Delivery Leadership offering and approach, assisting with continuous improvement of efficiencies and costs. 
  • Ensuring adoption and auditability of governance processes are applied and embedded into a new improved way of working within Delivery Leadership 
  • Dependent upon the role you are fulfilling, actively engaging in Delivery Leadership strategy in conjunction with the Leadership Team.  
  • Inspiring collaboration across the Delivery Leadership teams through engagement, communication, and leadership strategies. 
  • Pro-actively looking for opportunities to contribute to the development and growth of Delivery Leadership. 

Delivery 30% 

  • Working with the Delivery Directors take responsibility for owning and driving delivery improvements and initiatives associated with capability (not SIP’s) and Delivery engine improvements. 
  • Ensuring lessons learned and improvements are applied and embedded into a new improved way of working. 
  • Accountability for driving Quality initiatives associated with the delivery of service at a functional level (not SIPs). 

Change Management 20 %  

  • Responsibility for management of Change & pipeline in the context of Delivery Leadership (demand) 
  • Develop and execute business plans that support Delivery Leadership’s operational and change objectives. 
  • Develop and implement functional ways of working in support of in life change. 
  • Communicate potential risks and issues that are likely to require formal change to stakeholders as early as possible, to minimise future conflict/commercial exposure.  
  • Ensure the Change Management process is in place and is followed in the required timeframes to minimise Working at Risk/commercial exposure and optimise Delivery Leadership contribution.

    • Service Delivery Leadership initiatives delivery against objectives and measures 
    • Reference ability through improvements 
    • High level of cross functional engagement 
    • Simplified Service Delivery Leadership engagement for Service Delivery Leadership and cross functional engagements 
  • Leveraging skills and capability across Computacenter. 
  • Proven experience of working in a Managed Service role 
  • Proven experience and understanding of operational delivery 
  • Proven ability to engage with senior roles within the organization across all departments 
  • Strong communication skills internally and externally with the ability to communicate at all levels 
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline with the ability to manage multiple activities 
  • Ability to lead, manage, contribute to and work with multiple, multi-disciplined teams concurrently 
  • Understanding of risk and impact management across multiple disciplines (commercial, contractual etc) 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
