Logistics Technician
About the role
The Logistics Technician handles products and updating information systems for the following business functions: receiving, slotting, inventory, picking, benching, un-benching, boxing, and shipping.
What you’ll be doing
- Loading and unloading trucks, receiving products, daily cycle counting, kitting, picking, packing, shrink wrapping, labeling, palletizing products, and physical inventory.
- Operating a forklift, hand truck, and other tools/machinery to move materials or items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated work areas.
- Tracking quantities of items; confirming available stock on hand, moved, or distributed via SAP to ensure incoming and outgoing packages, products, and materials are free from quality defects.
- Placing specified work orders, kits, items, packages, and pallets in bays and racks in the warehouse and work areas.
- Unboxing, re-boxing, and sorting designated items for a given project into larger boxes or pallets, stretch-wrapping, and verifying designated items are included in the set.
What you have
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a warehouse.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as pick list, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 50 pounds; usage of pallet jacks; carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing, including ladders, and balancing; and significant fine finger dexterity.
- Microsoft Suite experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Bonus points
- Experience with SAP, WMS, or similar warehouse management systems.
