Logistics System Owner
About the role
- The Logistics System Owner supports business authority within the core GTS tools (quote to delivery) for the logistics processes, tools and systems.
- The System Owner role sits in the System Engagement team, reporting to the Systems Engagement Manager within TSI
- Technology Sourcing Innovation (TSI) continually refines and develops GTS’s global process and system vision and executes transformation programs. TSI serves as a driving force to deliver real, implemented, change to the business and to measure and track qualitative and quantitative benefits. TSI provides leadership regarding the pursuit of process standardization across the group and the continual refinement and optimization of GTS’s operating model to adapt to business needs.
- Collaboration across Logistics and cross stream business areas
- Focused judgement and positive initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Own to resolution attitude with open communication channels promote intuitive ways to knowledge transfer across the team.
- Occasional travel expected
What you'll be doing
- Design & Deliver to the defined Global system vision.
- Define Global usage standards of these tools across the Group and North America.
- Evaluate impact to business performance throughout design and delivery phases.
Business as usual (BAU)
- Continual improvement of BAU In-life systems
- Support senior system owners with the development of roadmap for tools & provide recommendations for improvements.
- Support senior system owners with app enhancement activities for major systems
- Assess and act as a decision maker on app enhancement requests for assigned systems
- Oversight of development, backlog, testing & release for agreed app enhancements for assigned systems
- Support systems owners as a point of contact (POC) for GIS to ensure transparency and resourcing of update/release scheduling
- Alignment of system functionality to legislative requirements
Project
- Provide subject expertise and guidance to GIS during development and testing lifecycle phases including core testing.
- Oversee and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Review of business communications & training collateral
- Input to project managers to support effective project planning.
- Input to cutover and go live planning.
- Outline hyper care plan and resourcing requirements.

What you have
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Specific accreditation on relevant systems (e.g. SAP Warehouse management) or proven history working in specialist area understanding the dependency between logistics, sales & purchasing
- SAP or ERP implementation experience
- Acting as a role model for TSI & Computacenter
- Experience managing without authority & conflict management skills
- Experience project management skills in a X functional & virtual team environment
- Proven record of excellent communication skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates value creation in identifying problems, prioritizing alternatives, and implementing solutions.
- Keeps up to date on Tech Sourcing technology using relevant industry sources.
- In depth knowledge of the broader IT market and able to articulate the key trends and how these trends may affect Computacenter.
- Experience of working with third party suppliers
- Skills to develop best practice policies and procedures for usage standards.
- Experience of creating user stories
- Willingness to travel.
